The Asaro family has been producing this wonderful liquid gold in Partanna, Sicily (Italy) since 1916. It has won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Best of Class at the L.A. County Fair.
This extra virgin mono-varietal olive oil is only made with "Nocellara del Belice" olives from the province of Trapani, Sicily. The Nocellara del Belice gives it a very rich flavor profile with notes of artichokes & almonds and a peppery finish.
The cute little cans are decorated with a colorful scenery of Sicily and showcasing the cartina al' Siciliana. Its slow-pour spout is a great feature to this beautiful little package.
The Asaro Family only produces this filtered extra virgin olive oil in October. It's very low acidity (typically around 0.3%) and while a very versatile oil, its quality becomes very evident when used for dipping and finishing.
