The KoMo Classic Grain Mill is a true work of art where form and function come together to create a very useful appliance that will add beauty to any kitchen.
This mill was designed by Wolfgang Mock of Germany using all natural materials and fine craftsmanship. The construction is of solid beechwood and the fingerjointed corners add a warmth that you will appreciate as much as you will the homemade breads that will result from putting this mill to work.
The business end of this mill is well put together yet masterfully simple to perform for many years with trouble free grinding. The mill is fitted with corundum/ceramic burrs that grind to whatever texture you prefer. To adjust the coarseness or fineness of the grind simply rotate the hopper to coincide with the texture-setting scale on the front of the mill. Choose from the finest flour, suitable for pastries, or a coarse meal for making polenta (even cracked grains if you choose).
All dry grains can be milled with the KoMo Classic including both hard and soft wheat, oat groats, rice, triticale, KAMUT, spelt, buckwheat, barley, rye, millet, teff, quinoa, amaranth, sorghum, and field (dent) corn. It can also be used to grind spices, lentils and dry beans. It cannot be used for herbs, oilseeds like sesame or flax, popcorn or nuts. With the optional insert accessory keeping your gluten free products separated from those with gluten is simple and easy.
